About the Author – Annette is a Queens, New York, woman, and, although she hasn’t lived there since 1976, she will always claim NY as her home. She moved to Maine in 1980, where she raised her daughter Lisa, son Brian, and is grandmother of three spectacular boys. She found her leader within through her business and personal experience, which enables her to connect with individuals wherever they are in their journey. She has a passion for the practical, common sense side of life and business. Annette’s “no excuse” belief system and direct style was created by a lifetime of adversity. She had no choice but to listen to the quiet voice and find her leader within. An entrepreneur and author, she speaks professionally on business success to small business owners and managers. She focuses on strong ethics and values that not only create employee loyalty, but also spreads an attitude of integrity, employee confidence, leadership among the ranks, and ultimately business longevity. Because of her experience, she also addresses the general public as well as employees, giving them the prospective and path to their importance and power in any situation.
Her passion, at one time, was cooking, feeding people the comfort food of Italy, and nourishing their stomachs and their souls. She believes her books and topics feed people’s spirits and give them hope and a more fulfilling direction. Annette currently shares her time in Fort Myers, FL, Queens, New York, and York, Maine, Annette presents her programs throughout the United States and internationally.

I liked this book on many levels
It’s a book about 911 history, firefighters and what their lives are like, what it takes to run a restaurant and what commitment and courage looks like up close and personal. Fazio’s humor comes through loud and clear with a strong message of resilience. A good read and a great example of of how to overcome obstacles and sadness. I am a better person because I have read this book.

I found “Finding the leader Within” to be interesting and inspiring. The firefighter stories gave me a realistic account of what their experience is like when responding to a fire.
The stories were good examples of how ordinary people and firefighters step up to a scary situation regardless of what’s in their way. I enjoyed the book and recommend it.

A great read! The personal stories from the surviving firemen of 9/11 were personal, heartwarming and encouraging. Also, there were stories about the author who was born and raised in Queens, NY that were very inspiring. Everyone should own a copy of this book!
